In today post, I am going to share one of popular simplest sweet dish coconut Peda, easy to make recipe less than 10-15 minutes. Generally Indian makes the sweet dishes on the special occasions. But I am not going to wait for any such occasion. I am so eager to make the sweet dish as it is in my list since long.
So, let’s get start.
Coconut peda, nariyal ka peda or coconut milai peda are all the name for this dish hardly difference in their ingredients. Here I am going to share the recipe for coconut peda or nariyal ka peda. It is usually made by desiccated coconut which is easily available in market or you can prepare from the raw dried coconut along with milk powder and of course sugar. This simple recipe must satisfy your taste buds.
Festival season is about to begin from November – and Indian calendar is filled with lots of happy festivals and season starts with making of mouth-watering, delicious sweet-dishes because, In India festivals are incomplete without sweet dishes. So this easy recipe will be added in your list.

  1. Thinking? What is Peda?
  2. In most of Indian Sweet Dishes, you have heard the name peda. It is nothing but a small round or disc shaped sweet. A fudge type cookie made or combined with ingredients. It has many names – Pera, Pedha or Penda, No matter what we call. It just a kind of laddoo but in small disc shaped. So enjoy the coconut peda.
  3. First, Heat a thick bottom non stick pan on slow flame and then add the dried mixture of coconut or desiccated coconut which is easily available in market.
  4. Roast it for 2-3 minutes on low flame constantly stirring and don’t need to change the color. You only need to wait until turns aromatic once it take out in a bowl then keep aside.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of ghee in same and let it melt and then pour condensed milk and let cook for a minute.
  6. Next add milk powder, roasted desiccated coconut, cardamom powder and rose water, give a good mix.
  7. While stirring for a minute or a 2 and check the consistency simultaneously if required add more condensed milk.
  8. Do not overcook it, as otherwise peda will turn hard.
  9. Switch of the flame, and transfer the mixture on plate and spread it until it cool down.
  10. Keep aside for 5 minute, grease your palm with oil and for the perfect shape to make peda when it still warm.
  11. Give round disc shaped of the mixture and you can make some designs with knife too
  12. At last garnish with saffron, smallest piece of almonds, and rose petals.
