Toasted Ravioli

Toasted ravioli can be cooked in the air fryer, too which means you can eliminate all the oil to make an even better appetizer.

  1. For FRYING:
  2. Step 1 Line a large baking tray with parchment. In a bowl that is shallow whisk egg and milk. In a second bowl, mix bread crumbs and Parmesan. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Working one at each time, dip raviolis in egg mixture and then into breadcrumbs, pressing down to cover. Set on baking sheet. Freeze until solid, 30 minutes.
  4. In a large pot with a medium-low heat, heat the 2" oil until it shimmers (about 365 degrees). In groups cook ravioli till golden, and the pasta is cooked to perfection, about 3-4 minutes, turning as needed. Put the ravioli on a paper towel-lined plate and then sprinkle with Parmesan.
  5. Serve warm with marinara dip.
  6. For AIR FRYERS:
  7. Step 1 Line an enormous baking sheet with parchment. In a bowl that is shallow mix together egg and milk. In a second bowl, mix bread crumbs and Parmesan. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Working one at one at a time, dip ravioli into egg mixture and then into bread crumbs and press to coat. Dip back to coat in the egg-based mixture. Place them on the baking sheet you have prepared. Freeze until solid, 30 minutes.
  9. Working in batches, put in the basket of an air fryer, and cook at 400deg to cook for seven minutes. Remove from basket and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  10. Serve warm and warm and drizzle with marinara sauce to dip.
